UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF
MOVEMENT IN CHRISTCHURCH. Fl-. ASSOCIATION CHRISTCHURCH, July 19. In order to provide work for unemployed returned soldiers, the City Council lias decided to put in hand a number of special works. It has also resolved that a cable be sent to Mr Massey drawing attention to the difficulty of procuring employment, not only for returned soldiers hut for others, particularly married men, and poirfting out the undesirability, therefore, of encouraging immigration.
