QUEEN’S THEATRE.
"THE TWELVE-POUND LOOK.” Delicately ironical and delightfully humorous. Sir J. M. Barrie's play, "The Twelve-Pound Look,” accounted /the best of his shorter plays, was enthusiastically received bv large and appreciative audiences at the Queen’s Theatre on Saturday. The man who married a "penniless parson’s” daughter and loaded her with jewellery is utterly incapable of understanding why his wife should leave him, but she reads him a lesson which will stick in his memory. In the "Ideal" release Milton Rosmer takes the principal part, and acquits himself most creditably. Miss Jessie Winter is beautiful, charming, and convincing as the "penniless peraonV' daughter. In support is the melodramatic "Angel. Esquire,” from the pen of the popular ’'crook" novelist# Edgar Wallace. This attractive programme will be repeated daily throughout the week.
