FASTER MAIL SERVICES

TAIHAPE AND WELLINGTON. Recently the matter of faster mail services between Taihape and Raetihi and Wellington was before the Wei-, lington Chamber of Commence. The secretary of the chamber reported to yesterday’s meeting that the Postal Department had informed him that it was in touch with the Railway Department respecting the putting of a mail on the night train at the Main Trunk towns mentioned. The carrying out of the wishes of the business people was contingent on the Railway Department making arrangements' for some responsible railway officer to have charge of the mail.
