SURRENDER TO WARRANT
AUCKLAND COMMERCIAL SENSATION. (Special to “Times.”) A man who is a well-known figure in the land and estate agency business of Auckland, Alfred Oscar Otto (50), has surrendered to a warrant, which had been privately issued by a shareholder in the. National Realty 00., charging him that on January 24th lie obtained £SOO from John McKay Linldater by means of a. certain false pretence with intent to defraud. Tho accused, who is manager of the National Co.-op. Realty Co., camo before Mr J. W. PoVnton, S.M., and, on the application- of Detectiy-e-Sergeant Hammond, was remanded till Monday. Detective TT am mo rid made no objection to bail, provided the books of the company were safeguarded from interference, and on an undertaking being given that the books and documents were in the hands of accused’s solicitors, hail was fixed at two sureties of £IOO each, which was forthcoming.
