The Ngamoko small settlement, near Norsewood, and in close proximity to ' the Ruahine Ranges, is in an excited state over the reported discovery of gold in the Ruahmes. ' A correspondent of the “Dannevirke News” reports that a settler, at Norsewood, 'named Pomexanz, who has been prospecting in the Ruahines for some time, brought in some specimens which aro said to be gold-bearing. These have been forwarded to the Mines Department at Wellington for report. To-day a large party, who took a supply of provisions, left for the Ruahines on a prospecting trip for gold..
