The younger professionals triumphed in the final for the “Daily Mail” £IOOO golf tournament at Formby, is regarded as a preliminary to the open eliampicmship. P. llaUam (Cliorlton-oum-Hardy) won after a most exciting finish with a score of 295. A. G. Havers, aged 24, West Lancaster, led in the first two rounds with 71’s and finished with 296. Edgar, the Canadian champion, took 297, Robson (Gooden Beach) 293, Bourne (Stockport) 299, and Duncan and Taylor 301 each.
