NON-CO-OPERATION

MOVEMENT IN INDIA. MR GANDHI’S PERSONAL VIEWS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. DELHI, April 22. With reference to recent Government statements regarding the revolutionary and anarchical tendency of the non-oo-apenation movement, an interesting note by Mr Gandhi, giving his personal views, is contained in an article in the newspaper “Young India” : “As for my own attitude, whilst my faith would not permit me to invite and eneoursflge war and violence, I do contemplate with equanimity a State war in preference to -the present state of effeminate peace imposed by fore© of arms. For that reason I am taking part in this movement of non-violent non-co-operation even at the risk of ,anarchy being the ultimate result.”
