MEETING OF EXBCUnVB. JUDGES APPOINTED, A meeting of the executive eottfled of the above society was held hut evening, Mr L. S Partridge presiding. His Excellency the CtoternorGenerel wrote offering a special ]gin for the boys' elocutionary championship. The offer was accepted with grateful appreciation of Hie ExoeUenqy s interest la tire work of the society. The General Manager of Railways wrote stating that the Usual railway concessions would be granted to ona* petitors, also to parents or guardians travelling with comparitara under tha age of 12 years. The following judges wore appointed far the next fasti ret I—Mr1 —Mr Gordon. Lavers (Sydney), music; Mr Bertram Flohm (Sydney), elocution. Tha appointment of fudges in the denning sea tion was referred to a eiilf 111111111HI1SI to report. Mr Harold Whittle wan appointed' official accompanist and Mr W. P. McLachlan stage manager. The programme was amended by tha inclusion of a girl's song, 16-18. and two classes for fancy dancing under 9. It was resolved that the prizes in the ‘■L* l contest bs the same as last year. viz.: 4250 first, JB2O second and AS third, subject to the usual conditions. It was also decided to retain the malo voice choir am the programme. Offer© of a number of special prizes were received with thanks. It waa stated that the syllabus would probably be randy for issue about the .end of the present month.
