FACTORY ON FIRE

MUCH DAMAGE CAUSED. FUSING OF ELECTRIC WIRE? At 5.33 p.m. yesterday the fire bribade received a call to the factory of Samuel Triester and Co., wholesale hat and cap manufacturers, 193, Vivian street, which was well alight when the motor-reel arrived on the scene. Before the flames could be extinguished the contents of the factory were badly damaged, and the building also was considerably burnt. The, premises, which are owned by the occupiers, were formerly on a two-storied wooden, dwelling, which underwent alterations to render 'it serviceable as a factory. The u outbreak is attributed to the fusing of an electric wire near the meter, • The contents were covered by a policy with the Northern Insurance office, apd the building was insured in the Commert rial Union office.
