At the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club’s sixteenth egg-laying competition, the ooncluded results -Were : Heavy breed, singles—-Christie (Melbourne), 236 ; Black Orpington, Heavy-breed teams—Gunn (Raycourse Hill), 1004 j Black Orpington Light breed, single*—Goodlet (Dunedin), 265; White Leghorn. Three bird, light breed teams— Gorineki (Invercargill), 725; Whito Leghorn, Three bird, heavy brood teams— Conway (Bay of Plenty), 689; .Black Orpingtons. Light breed flock teams—Bonnet (Spreydon), 1088; White Leghorns. Three bird duck teams —Knight (Lower Hutt), 821; Indian Runners. Single duck contest—Reay (FendoL ton), 212; Indian Banners. Two-year duck test (six Indian Runnem), Green, 2887—a world’s record.
