The Labour Conference decided to ask the Government to thoroughly inquire into all phases of the wheat industry. The Minister for. Agriculture, who was present, stated the prioe at which the wheat was sold to Germany, and said it could not be landed in Germany under 12s 6d a bushel. Justifying the sale, he said if it was right to export foodstuffs to Germany it was only right that imparted German goods should be allowed into Australia. He trusted the Federal Government would remove the embargo from German imparts.
