FIRE ON TAHITI
OFFICIAL INQUIRY. Dgring the past couple af days Captain S. Stringer, Government Superintendent of Mercantile Marine, and Mr Hood, assistant chief surveyor of ships, have been holding an inquiry into the circumstances connected with the fire on the R.M.S. Tahiti. It is probable that no further inquiry will be held.
