Dr. T. Harrison, who has been president of the Dunedin Returned Soldi eons’ Association for the past four years, announced! to the general meeting of the association that he had decided not to seek re-election at the forthcoming annual meeting. The Rev. D. D. Roger, who _ for twelve years past has been the minister in change of the Papanui Presbyterian Church, Christchurch, and has been serving in various churches in Christcburch for the past 36 years, is retiring from an active port in the ministry. Mr Leslie D. Coombs, A.R.1.8.A.. architect, of Dunedin, has, on the recommendation of the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects, been, appointed assessor of the forthcoming competition for designs for the Bridge of Remembrance war memorial, to be erected over the i Avon at Oaahel street.
