AMERICAN ANTI-DUMPING PROPOSAL. Australian ■ 1 ' TV v. fable Association. WASHINGTON, March 15. Members of the Senate Finance Committee and the House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee, in conference on tariff legislation, agreed to abondon the Emergency Tariff Bill, and favoured the substitution of an anti-dumping measure, which Congress would be asked to pass immediately when it is convened in April. The duties under the proposed new bill would be based on the value of goods in the American market rather than their value in the country of origin.
