A DEPUTY MURDERED,
Australian and N.Z. Gable Association. (Received March 15, 5.5 p.m.) ROME, March 14. The dead body of Piccoli, a wellknown Communist deputy, was found in a tunnel near Reggio. Other extremist deputies are also being maltreated. Matteotti was kidnapped, and is still imprisoned. Agnim ana Donati, two other Socialist deputies, were waylaid at Modena and .beaten. The outrages seem to be due to a Fasciscti organisation of ultrapatriots, whose object is to suppress the Communists by intimidation and violence.
