ST. PATRICK’S DAY

A SPLENDID PROGRAMME. ODly one thing is required to ensure a successful celebration of St. Patrick's Day, and that is fine weather. The various sub-committees have been working up the details, and everything is well in hand. The procession will be the largest yet attempted by the committee, and will leave the Government Buildings. The sports should attract a largo number of entries. The committee has been entrusted with the Dominion championship for the Irish Jig dancing competition, and this and the other dancing events should prove most interesting. _ The spectacular drill display by 1000 children has been well rehearsed. Other attractions are the baby show, sideshows, and Irish Pipe Band. The concert in the evening is expected to attract a large audience, as the programme this year is one of the best yet presented.
