OLD BOYS BEAT EAST

LATTER’S POOR FIGHT. A THREE-POINT VICTORY. There was no cricket on the Basin Reserve on Saturday because the ground was in use for a sports meeting. Old Boys and East played on Kelburn Park and the result was a very easy victory for Old Boys. Old Boys had batted on the previous Saturday and had made 378 runs. Several of the East player* were absent, but those who remained did not put up a good fight. Dind, the pick of the East batsmen and one of the best hats in the city, reached double figures in each innings (24 and 33). The only other East batsman to help his side much was W. A.
