SWIMMING SPORTS

The Wellington Young Mem’s Bible Classes held their annual swimming carnival at the Boys’ institute baths last week. The McEldowney Cup was won by St. James, with St. John's second and Kent terrace third. The cup presented for most points was secured by St. Johns with 31 points, Kent terrace being eeoond with 30 points, and St. James third. This ia the first occasion on which the cups have changed hands, as the Kent terrace class has held them since they were presented in 1916. Members of the Wellington Swimming Centro- acted as officials for the evening. ~ , , The Boys’ Institute added to the programme with races and a polo match.
