The partnership yielded. 368, which approaches the world’s record. Rhodes, batting cautiously, brought up his second century. When 210 he missed a googly from Smith and was stumped. He batted 315 minutes and hit seventeen foui-s. Douglas and Woolley played out time, Woolley hitting twenty' in one over of Smith’s, including a magnificent sixer into tho pavilion.
