NEW TRIAL REFUSED. Judgment jn a Taranaki case was delivered by Mr Justice Hosking on Saturday. . The action was Quinn v. Catchpole. Some little time ago a New Plymouth jury awarded plaintiff damages on the ground that the carrying capacity of land he bought from defendant had been misrepresented to him. A motion fpr a new trial was made# on the ground that the jury’s finding was against the weight of evidence, and that it had been misdirected. His Honour dismissed the motion.
