SOME BINES AT FOXTON. fXS fBSSB AtfOGUTTOI. FOXTON, March 11. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day before Mr J. L. Stout, 28 persons charged with playing two-up were earn fined £5 with costs. The charges were adjourned from last court to hear legal argument as to the definition of a “public place.’" The rendezvous was a borough reserve lease, which the. magistrate ruled was a public" place in accordance with a Supreme Court judgment in a similar case.
