“A TECHNICAL TRESPASS”

LIVINGSTONE AT HUTT RACECOURSE. Matthew Livingstone, for. whom Mr M. F. Luckie appeared, was charged before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning, with ,trespassing on tho Hutt Park racecourse, he being deemed a person under section .13 of the Gaming Act of 1908, to be excluded By regulation from a certain raceoourse. Mr Luckie said that defendant hail been on the course on the occasion in question solely for the purpose of carrying out his dulies as taxi-driver. The magistrate said that Livingstone bad recently been severelv punished, and this was merely a "technical trespass.’’ fine of 40s and costs 7s was imposed.
