(By the Government Meteorologist} Present indications (4 p.m. yesterday) are for strong south-easterlies in the-fa* north, and moderate to strong west to south-west winds elsewhere, squally at times in and southward of Cook Strait. Weather changeable generally, with scattered showers, but unsettled conditions are likely in the northern and southernmost districts. Barometer unsteady. {Summary on last page.)
