THE ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Professional Orchestra, presided over by Mr Walter Puller, much enthusiasm was displayed in regard to the coming, season, the first concert of Which will be given on April 24th. The following officers were elected:— Patron, His Excellency the GovernorGeneral ; president, His Honour Mr Justice Herdman; vice-presidents, Sir Robert Stout; His Grace Archbishop Redwood, Sir John Pindlay, Professor Gar row, Mrs John Prouse, the Hon. A. M. Myers, Messrs J. Oraigie, M.P., R. M. Griffiths, H. Inniss, M. Myers, Marcus Marks, E. A. Stnith, Robert Parker, and Henry Hayward; conductor, Mr H. Moschini; secretary, Mr George Nelson; treasurer, Mr A. S. Hilliker; committee, Messrs Puller, Williams, Laurence, Rule, Bowman, Crump, and Hume.
