The OommonweaJth will contribute £l2 for each immigrant, and a corresponding rate for each child. , The shipping companies also are expected to make a reduction on the minimum fare, which at present is —4O. The rates apply onlv to such British people not eligible for- tie free passages given by the British Oversea Committee, but this year t*» e aira be to confine activities to ex-service men, wom?n, add children, of whom Senator Milled has assured the Government numbers are farm workers and domestics.
