RECENT DIVORCE ACTION
PEAT-BBAUCHAMP-PLATTS case. An echo of the Peat v. Peat and Beauchamp-Platts divorce action was heard in Chambers at the Supreme Court yesterday, when the petitioner Harcourt Eugene Louis Peat, of r edding, land agent (Mr D. R. Boggard) applied for the interim custody of the child of the marriage. Sir Robert Stout, Chief Justice, granted the application, respondent being allowed access to the child once a week. Petitioner was allowed costs on the lowest scale, and one extra day at £ls 15®, against the co-respondent, William Beauchamp-Platt® of Wellington, accountant (Air G. Moir), ana the respondent was allowed co ßt * on the lowest scale and four extra day? at £lO 10s per day, also againet the co-respondent. The question of alimony for the respondent will probably bo dealt wits next week.
