To-morrow (Saturday) the Senior I Cadets in No. 5 Group, competing in the I military tournament, will march front, I the Garrison Hall, Buckle street, to the I X'owxx Hall, patf-ading at 2 p.m., marching via Arthur ana Cuba streets. A i feature of the parade will be the first [appearance of the newly-formed • brass i band attached to the No. 17 Company Senior The band was formerly i the Institute Drum and Trumpet Band, up .to September last, when the brass instruments were purchased by money collected and subsidised by the committee. The band turned out at Christmas carolling:, with splendid results, and since then has been hard at worfci practising and drilling two nights a week. The bandmaster, Mr A. Ire-! monger, is deserving of great credit, for only by his energies Iras the band j reached a very satisfactory standard. Constable .T. J.
