NAVY LEAGUE
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. A meeting of the executive committee of the Navy League was held yesterday. Colonel G, P. C. Campbell was in the chair. The secretary (Mr R. Darfock) reported that the pupils of the Public Service school, :liumibering 148, had joined the league and were entitled to the presentation of a flag and picture of tlie Prince of Wales. He made suggestions in this connection, and it was left in the hands of a; committee to carry out. A communication was received from the league’s headquarters in London respecting future activities, and a committee composed of Colonels G. F. C. Campbell and F: Roberts and Mr Leigh Hunt was appointed to draft a reply. It was intimated that Mrs C. Earle had tendered her resignation as a member of the ladies’ auxiliary, and it woe decided to place on record the valuable service that had been rendered by Mrs Earle, especially during tho yvar period, and the extreme' regret of members that the lady in question had been compelled, through special circumstances, to resign from all committees of the league. In respect to the entertaining of the officers and creyv of the H.M.S’. Chatham, the arrangements were left in the hands of a committee of ladies and gentlemen.
