Mrs Farrington was living with a man named Deane, when her husband arrived and tried to induce- his wife to return to him. Deane intervened and drew a revolver, and a running fight with revolvers along the street between Farrington and Deane followed.* Farrington was shot dead and Deane was severely wounded in the mouth. A bystander was shot in a leg, and others had narrow escapes from tho flying bullets.
