CHARGED WITH TREASON
SEQUEL TO FRENCH GENERAL STRIKE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 1, 8.5 p.m.) PARIS, February 28. The trial has begun on a charge of treason of ten ringleaders of the general strike in May, 1920. The prosecution aims at proving that the definite avowed purpose of the strike was the overthrow of the existing social order. Most of the accused profess Bolshevik views.
