STANDARD BOOTS

EXHIBITS POOR, AUCKLAND. Recently representatives of Labour in Auckland requested the Board of Trade to arrange for an exhibition of standard boots in that city. Preparations, stated on official of the board to a “limes” reporter yesterday j were begun immediately, with the result that Auckland people will be able to see shortly a good range of footwear (tor men and boys, women and girls). The exhibits hear the Board of Trade’s mark, in accordance with the regulations gazetted in 1919. “Made in New Zealand” is a special characteristic of these articles, with a guaranteed quality in materials and workmanship. The prices of these standard manufactures are regulated on a basis of costs and reasonable profits, as determined by expert accountants appointed by the board, which has taken pains to ensure fair treatment of the manufacturer, the retailer, and /the buying public. After the display at Auckland city, the exhibits will probably be moved on to other portions of the Auckland district.
