An impressive service wae held in the Kilbirnie Presbyterian Church on the occasion of the unveiling of the “801 l of Honour’* in commemoration of those who took parti in the Great War. The service commenced with the National Anthem. Chaplain-Major B. H. Cathsrwood (Minister of the church) offered prayer, and then spoke of the heroism of our soldiers, and urged that the sacrifices the men had made should always he held in Trmembraaee. Major w. Hard ham, V.C., performed the unveiling ceremony, and the congregation rose ana stood silent as the Union Jack rolled hack. Major Hardham in the course of an interesting address, related many Instances of the faithfulness and endurance of the New Zealanders.
