There is sure to be a record attendance at the Basin Reserve to-morrow to witness the contests for the various important championship athletic events. There are 18 nominations for the 100yds championship, 21 for the 220yds, and 18 for the quarter-mile. E. Wilson (120yds Australasian hurdle champion) will make his first appearance since his return from the seventh Olympiad at Antwerp, and those who witnessed his performance at Masterton on Anniversary Day say that his style is even better than it was before he left New Zealand. P. Munro, who is at present in particularly fine form with the shot, will endeavour to lower the New Zealand record for the event, and given favourable conditions there is ervery possibility of his succeeding in doing so. The tournament under the auspices of the. New Zealand Bowling: Association, which commenced in Wellington on January loth, was brought to a conclusion yesterday, when the singles championship was decided. All the finals and a good many of the more important games took place on the Wellington green, and it stood the strain well. Yesterday it was playing as truly as on the opening day, and many congratulatory references were made to the work of the greenkeeper CMr Earl). •NIFF UP,QAl«lUw«n*uwn FLUENZOL
