NEWS FROM ABROAD
OVERSEA MAILS ARRIVE. Despite the deadlock in Hie inter* colonial passenger service, mails continue to come to hand fairly regularly from Australia. The Manuka brought 242 bags of mails; this includes 152 bags from the United Kingdom. A further Australian budget is due this week by the Durham, which left Newcastle for Wellington on January 13th, and if due to arrive to-day.
