__ • * ARREARS INJHAINTBNANCE. “He has been doing nothing and has persisted in doing nothing, presumably for the purpose of evading payments,’’ said Mr H. E. Evans when appearing for a woman named Irvin Hanning, who sought maintenance arrears from her husband. Charles Warren Hanning, before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the magistrates Coart yesterday. It was stated that defendant had only .paid twentyfour weekly payments instead of approximately sixty-eight, and his arrears totalled £6B 15s. “Suppose I give him something to do then?” said tne magistrate. “Yes that would no doubt meet the case," said Mr Evans. Defendant was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment.
