Telford, c I Collie. i Tii© Mayor reported that the petition to the Governor-General in cou"eil with roference to the amalgamation with the city had been forwarded, and a reply received from tht Department 'of Internal Affairs stating that nothing eould bo dono in the matter until the required petition had been rcoejv. ed from the Wellington City Council. It was decided to support the Dunodin City Council in their proposal that' all loan moneys required by local' bodies be raised by the General Government. The. use of Seatoun Park was grant- j ed to tho N.'£. Garrison Artillery for ; a parade on a date to be arranged. :i Accounts amounting to £690 wevo pusoed for payment. $
