"LIGHT OF THE WORLD" INCIDENT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, (Received October 12, 8.25 p.m.) LONDON, October 12. An ex-soldier, charged with damaging the picture "The Lig'bt- of the World," said he did it to diaw dttentiou to a grievance over his pension, since he was invalided out of the army. A previous" message stated in error that a Sinn Feiner smashed the glass of the famous picture, which is hung in St. Paul's Cathedral, a* a protest against McSwiney's- imprisonment.
