GOAL TROUBLE
THE WAIKATO OUTLOOK NORMAL AT HUNTLY AND ROTOL WARO. IMPROVING POSITION. MSB WtESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, October 12. The position regarding the Waikato coal supply showed no change to-day. The Huntly and Rotowaro mines worked full time and practically the normal, output of cool was -maintained. Pukemiro mine is still idle. The Gas CJompany has already received ffome coal from Newcastle, and is expecting farther shipments, so that no difficulty- should be experienced in resuming the gas supply on Thursday and c.ontinuring it for some time. HOPES OF A SETTLEMENT BRIGHTER PROSPECTS AT . PUKEMIRO. p«:& press association. AUCKLAND, October 12. Reports from Huntly to-night indicate that rthe - outlook regarding the Pukemiro dispute is much brighter, and that there; are hopes of an early' settlement*. It is alf» "understood that the "stopwork" meeting -will not be held to-mor-row, as previously arranged.
A Press. Association telegram states: "The Auckland Gas Company announces t-hat the price of gas has been increased by a shilling «per thousand cubio feet for tho next three months, making tiho price 8s 6d net."
