Mr J. Jeromson, chief signalman for the Wellington Harbour Board, has gone on his fortnight's annual leave. Mr C. AlcKertzie is acting as his substitute. The Blackball Coal Company s collier Ngatoro was to leave Gisborne last night for Napier. The Kahika was to sail from Greymouth late last night coal-laden for A\ ell ington, where she is duo early to-mo-.row morning. . ~ The Kokiri is to get away from Wellington to-day for Greymouth to load coal for the gasworks at Miramar. WEST HOLBROOK AT AUCKLAND.. Tho steamer West HJolbrook, cargoladea from San Francisco, arrived at Auckland at 3.45 p.m. yesterday Mr E. G. F. Zohrab, Wellington agent advises that the vessel is due at Wellington in. about a week's time. In iv.idition to general cargo for this port tho West liolbrook has 25,000 cases of assorted oils. THE OTIBk. The Shaw, Savill and Albion. Co. advise that tho liner Otira is to leavo Wellington this afternoon, or to-morrow for Lyttelton, Melbourne and Sydney with remainder of cargo from Montreal. LEITKIM FOB UNITED STATES. The N.Z. and African* Co. advise that tho liner Leitrim is to leave Wellington to-night for Wanganui roadstead to load for Boston and New York. The vessel wiill subsequently load at Waitara, Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington, and will sail from the last-mentioned port early in November for the United States ports. ' MOANA FOE. SYDNEY. Tho Union Co. advise that the Moana is to sail from Wellington at noon tomorrow for Sydney and Hobart, taking passengers and cargo. SURREY DUEI NEXT WEEK. The N.Z. and''African Co. advise that the liner Surrey, now discharging Now York cargo at Auckland, is to leave tho latter port next Tuesday for Wellington, where she is due on the 21st inst. THE TALUNE. The Union Cb.'s steamer Talune is duo at Auckland next Saturday from Papeete and llarotonga. The vessel ia to leave Auckland on the return trip to the Islands on the 20th inst. WATTOMO FttOM FORT KEMHLA. Cable advice has boon received by tbo Union Co. that tho Waitomo left' Fort Kembla at midnight on Saturday ronlladen for Wellington. ORARI'S APPRENTICES, i xho New Zealand Shipping Company's linor C-'rari. which left Liverpool on October 7th for New Zealand ports. Is carryin" twentv-threc apprentices. The large number of apprentices on this vessel is an innovation by the owners, although pome of the other vessels of the flr=et havo three or four apprentices on board. MAMARI ARRIVES TO-DAY. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's liner Mamari left Lyttelton at 2.30 o'clock yesterday afternoon for Wellington and "New Plymouth to complete discharge of her cargo ifrom London. The vessel is due at Wellington early this morning and will berth at No. 6 (inner tee), Queen's wharf. THE CANADIAN EXPORTER, Murray, Roberts and Co. advise that the Canadian Government steamer Canadian Exporter is now timed to sail from Wellington at daybreak on Friday for Melbourne, taking cargo. MAHANA FOR LONDON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the liner Mahana is to leave Wellington at noon to-day cargo-laden for London via Panama. WOODAREA LEFT PANAMA. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received cable advice that tho steamer Woodarra arrived at Colon on October 6th from London, and left Panama on the 7th for Lvttelton, T'unedin and (Bluff. The vessel should reach Lyttelton on November Ist. ORARI LEFT LIVERPOOL. Cable advice has been received by the New Zealand and African Company that tho liner Orari left'. Liverpool on October 7th cargo-laden (under the auspices of the Federal-Shire Line) for Anckjivej*, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers.
