RIFLE CLUBS BUSY A INTERESTING COMPETITIONS A.T TRENTHAM. Following are details of the matches in which the rifle clubs of the Wellington district were engaged at Trentham on Saturday:— ]■■-'■< ••>■ •'■; KARORI CLUB. SWEEPSTAKES MATCH. Members of the Karori Rifle Club fired a sweepstake match at ranges of 300 and 500 yards, 10 shots at each range. The result was a win for Rifleman A. S. T. Butler with the fine score of 94 points, including a well merited 48 at 300 varde. Rifleman A. Swanson, a visitor, obtained second place, being one point behind, with the fine shoot of 49 out of 50 points at 500 vards.
