HALF-YEABIY COMMUNION AND T ■• BREAKFAST, "THEIR CHEfaiSk> BELIEES," St. Mary's Church, Bouloott street, was ivell filled on Sunday morning, when the members of tho Hibernian Society assembled for their half-yearly communion. The Very Rev. Dean Holley, 5.M... Provincial of the Marist Order, celebrated Mass and addressed the imembers, complimenting them on their splendid display of faith. Ho eulogised the work of the society, whieh truly carried put the spirit of its grand motto, Faith, Hope and Charity. Ho briefly referred to the attack on the marriage laws on the part of legislators, an attack for which they would all suffer the sevetest penalties lather than allow- any body of legislators to interfere with their most cherishoa beliefs. They would render ,unto Caesai that which belonged to Caesar, but they would not permit Caesar to interfere with that which belonged to God. They were all behind their revered Archbishop in his courageous, defence of their righte--rights which they wore determined that no human clement would bo permitted to filch from them. After Mass tho members adjourned for breakfast, over which Mr Krohn (president) presided. His Grace Archbishop O'Shea was also present, and In re»pons« to the toast of th* "Hierarchy and Clergy" thanked the proposer (Mr Burke) for his kind remarks and assurances of their loyalty in the recent attacks made Upon their faith. It was always a pleasure for him to take an interest in the Hibernian Society; it was a thoroughly Catholio society and a necessity for Catholic people. It was a ROoietv that not only promoted the material side, but also tho spiritual. "Ireland, a Nation," was propesed by Mr M. J. Reardon, and responded to by Mr P.
