WIFE OBTAINS SEPARATION. Before ,Mr F. K'. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, Mrs Amy Brewin, for whom Mr J. F. B. Stevenson appeared, sought to get an order for separation, maintenance and guardianship, against her husband, Ernest Brewin (Mr P. W. Jackson). Complainant said she had married the" defendant. at-Auckland in 1908, arid-had lived happily until last Christmas, when her husband accused her of misconduct, and had ill-treated her ever since. The husband said that complainant, had actually admitted misconduct, and denied having ill-treated her. After hearing the evidence the magistrate found that the couple could not live and made a separation order and a maintenance order for £3 per week in favour of the wife. She was also' given the custody of their four children.
