The Transporters' .Federation is convening a. conference of all unions in the federation, stating that the reply received from Mr Hughes in connection with the request for the abolition of t the labour bureau on the waterfront was -- unsatisfactory and the only course open to the executive was to carry out the mandate of the .federation as all efforts to avert a crisis were unavailing. The movement is directed more against oversea liners than coastal vessels. Though in the event of trouble, all services, including cpal mines, may Jbo affected.
