A train from Wallsend, near Newcastle, failed to climb the incline at Broadmeadow and slipped hack downhill, telescoping the train following. Twelve passengers were injured. TWENTY PEOPLE KILLED A COLLISION AT VENICE. (Received October 10, 5.5 p.m.) ROME, October 8. Twenty persons were killed in a railway collision on tho causeway across tho lagoon at Venice. A SHOCKING COLLISION 30 dbathsTioo injured. (Received October 11, 12.50 a.m.) PARIS. October 10. Tho Express from Paris to Nantes collided with a goods train at Honilles, eight coaches wore telescoped, thirty people being killed and a hundred injured.
