YESTERDAY'S SITTING. VARIOUS OFFENDERS DEALT WITH. Police business was dealt with by Mr E. K. Hunt, S.M., who presided over a sitting at tire Magistrate's Court yesterday. Eleanor Hatfield was fined 10s for insobriety; for similar offences John Mack was lined £l, William Richards' 10s, and also 10s for breaking Ins prohibition order. First offenders were disposed of in the usual manner. Frederick G. Penny, who said lie was a trimmer on the Athenic, pleaded guilty to using obscene language in .■sydncy street on Thursday last, and also lor being drunk. Fines amounting to £3 10s were imposed. William R. Norman, a youth who had committed a breach lof probation, said that illness had prevented him reporting regularly to tho probation officer. He was sentenced to probation for another 12 months. CIVIL CASES. Sitting in civil jurisdiction yesterday, Mr. I''. K.
