OUTSPOKEN LECTURER
"CCRSE OF MATRIMONY AND ITS CURE." "CAIRO" BRADLEY ADDRESSES. The Star Theatre, Newtown, was crowded last night, when Mr W. ("Cairo") Bradley, of Egypt, delivered a stirring address on "The Curse of Matrimony and its Cure." The lecturer, who has been very aptly described as "a man with a punch," said he was justified in speaking plainly on this subject, because of the number of divorce suits at present before tho court. By numerous illustrations he condemned the disregard of the responsibility and sacredness of the marriage tie. which many people, showed in the selection of their life partner. He attributed it largely to lack of Christian instruction in the home. "Tho Bible, is the bulwark of our nation, and the final court cf. appeal on these matters," he said; and in conclusion he emphasised the joy of those who ha,l no renrets because they had left the, choice. with God. Special solos and part-singing by a male choir was an attractive feature of the lecture. Apart from the excellent choice of subject:- upon which ho lectures, and his undoubted powers of oratory, M Bradley is creating much interest locally because he is a fearless speaker. He will deliver hi? message to men only at the Town Hail concert chamber at 3 p.m. on Sunday. It is entitled "The Tragedy of Lust and the Triumph Over It."
