DARING BURGLARY
CUBA ST. DRAPERY ENTERED
ABOUT £l3O WORTH STOLEN. A daring burglary, involving tho theft of about £l3O worth of goods, was discovered yesterday morning to have been committed on the premises of D. S. Patrick and Co., drapers, Cuba street, some time during the previous evening, or early yesterday morning. The burglars gained entrance through forcing a window at the rear of the premises. Their booty comprised ladies’ wearing apparel—silk knitted coats, gloves, stockings, blouses, and underclothing. The bulkiness of the stolon goods suggests that they were taken away in a vehicle, probably a motor-car. Another theory is that they were removed to a dwelling not far distant from the vicinity, m instalments. A few months ago a burglary similar in general respects took place on the premises of another Cuba street drapery house. The police were Sromptly communicated with yesteray morning and aro investigating the circumstances.
