The Japanese cargo steamer Meikni Mam, the disc'mrtr- <j,f ",-l. yi- 1., ed the recent hold-np of shipping, and disorganisation of the tramway service, and shutting down of tho gas works and other industries, loft Wellington at 8.35 o'clock yesterday morning for Newcastle. The Meikal Mam arrived at Wellington on August 13th, after a passage of 31 days from Kobe (Jnpan\ She had, therefore, been seventeen days at Wellington before sho completer! t-Vn of her cargo of superphosphates.
