In order to prevent damage by firo to the native bush at Khandallah, as far as' possible, the director of parks and reserves (Mr J. C. MacKenzie) to the Oity Corporation has completed arrangements .to fence_ 80 acres for grazing. This work, it was hoped, would prevent grass fires from entering the reserve from, outside, and by the removal of the dead timber in the busH would do away with.the liability of the forest being, set on Jire by lightning
