LIFT TO THE TERRACE
AGAIN BBrOBJEJ CITY COUNCIL. The proposal that access to the highcf portion of Wellington terrace should be facilitated by the installation of a, lift from Boulcott street has several times been urged on the City Council within past years, and was-xe.cen.tljf "referred to the tramways committee for ' report. The" committee last evening recommended to the council that Messrs Salek and Turner be informed that the council will "be prepared to approve the proposal of Sir I. Salek to construct a lift between Boulcott street t and The Terrace, subject to such conditions ioi resumption by the City Council, as may be agreed upon.
